Our Story

In 1982 Carmen Rodriguez began learning to cook as a teenager in her mother, Josefina Rodriguez' kitchen, in El Distrito Federal, Mexico. She fell in love with the kitchen and began to a catalog of traditional recipes that have been in her family for generations. In 1990 Carmen immigrated to the United States, settling in the diverse city of Lake Forest, where she submerged herself with not only American culture and cuisine, but multiple cultures and cuisines from all over the world. Her passion for food and culinary wanderlust have become the foundation for Carmen's Kitchen.
